If the boss is at a certain distance, I usually run at her and do a running attack. The boss will usually try to attack, and you'll usually beat her. Sometimes she'll teleport so be careful if your attack whiffs. If she's hitting you with her punch string, do a back+F reversal. She's frustrating, but beatable. It took me some time, but I was able to unlock all the costumes recently.
I'm down to playing this game online as well against you folks.
I keep almost buying this but holding off; the demo is simulaneously fun and frustrating (the pure violence is neat but the computer pulls out the counters so easily). I think playing online would ease that frustration; if someone's skilled enough to anticipate an attack and pull off a counter then they deserve to.Quote:

Cheap fighting game bosses are nothing new.
Alpha is easier then most as she's easily baited into getting hit, although a couple of her attacks are definately asstacular. If you can knock her down once you can do it again like 3-4 times in a row if you stay the right distance away for attacking as she gets up. DOA3 had a much shittier boss with that terrible fucking camera and long-range setup.
I might pick this up tommorow afternoon for $30 at Best Buy (w/ $10 off coupon).
Anyone want to fight tonight?
