News: OS to be upgradeable. Good. Not surprising, but maybe surprising given Nintendo. Firmware upgrades = fight hacks.

I love Geometry Wars: Evolved, as well as Marble Blast Ultra. Sure, there are a lot of older games available, but the online play and achievements make all the difference in the world to me. If VC can do something similar, I'll be all over it too.

I'm still hopeful for something like Achievements on Wii as well, but I'm not counting on it. Here's hoping Nintendo surpirses me with them.

Yeah, this is basically why Sony more or less x-copied the XBLA format for PS3. I doubt Nintendo is going to introduce achievements, but that would certainly make me more enthusiastic about playing some of the classic NES/Genny/TG-16 games.

Well I'm glad some people are excited than, I lost all interest when A steady flow of screens and games started coming out. Underwhelemd didn't even begin to cover it.

I'm in the same boat. For multiplayer gaming this holiday season, I think I'll just buy some extra 360 wireless controllers and skip the Wii this year.

I'm really not that much of a graphics whore and the gamecube has at least 4 titles that make my top ten of last generation. I want Zelda, I want Metroid, I want Mario, I really want Smash Brothers (ONLINE!) and I'm hopeful that there will be a few more titles than that that come out after that, but frankly I don't even care if that's all I get. My xb360 will take care of all the rest, and with my incredible salary dropping 250 on launch to get wii sports is more than enough for me. My buddies can buy their own controllers, and I know they will.

Yeah aside from mario I have no interest in nintendos franchises anymore. It isn't for lack of trying though I picked up both metroid prime games and the windwaker as well as the official zelda compilation. Got like an hour or two into each game before totally losing interest in them. I still do really like the cube though if just for resident evil and rogue squadron. I think it's pretty safe guess that rogue squadron isn't coming back anytime soon. Mario galaxy looks solid and so does project hammer, but I'm not in any hurry on either.
