Twilight Princess isn't directed by Aounoma. He is producing it, same with Miyamoto. The director is the guy who was the script writer for Majora's Mask, but I don't remember what else he has done nor his name.

that horse scene looks like it will get frustrating real quick.
Best fog since the N64.
i am going to have to disagree with you there. oot was a great game, but it was a standard zelda game, and the plot made no effort to disguize the somewhat familiar paceing. I though majoras mask felt much fresher and the story was much more engageing. not that oot is bad by any strech of the imagination, it was an amazing game, but i felt that mask had me more involved with its world. i see it this way, oot was an adventure game, mask was a more of a real role playing game.Quote:

I didn't mind the sailing so much, especially when you get the warping song. Not so many dungeons, though, but still, probably my favorite Zelda since OOT.
finally someone else felt like this, i liked seiging the enemy platforms with bombs and taking on the massive krakens with the boomerangs. i thoughtt he sailing was well done.Quote:

I'm so glad TP pisses on the SpaceWorld demo, one of the main reasons I was happy with Wind Waker's awesome style was the fact it got away from that horrible generic rubbish. TP looks realistic, but not generic.
Well remember that demo was based on the N64 design of adult link so it wasn't that detailed because of what the N64 could handle and add to that I had some fuzzy memory of how that looked :P
Anyway, I can't wait for this game. I might actually play some of the other Zelda's in anticipation as I've been wanting to play a new Zelda with good old dungeons and adventure after Wind Waker.
I'm rerunning MM now since I never finished before my 64 was tragically lost.

you have to because in WW Ganon dual wields and is totally badass.
You mean someone actually beat that game?Quote:

godamnit...that's it. I declare today national "Replay Majora's Mask" Day. So put on your beer goggles and be prepared to tell your 64 she looks pretty.
I don't like Majora's.... but i may play it on Vacations
Also, people bitch about the Triforce fetch in WW, but the "Mailman Quest" in MM was one of the most annoying things I have ever had to suffer through.
I know it wasn't integral to do the mailman quest, it still was a pain in the ass.
Yea, Majora's Mask sucked too.Quote:

Hey, I hated Zelda 2 for about 19 years. Then I went back and played it and finally "got it," and then I had a blast.
that took me barely a few hours, man people become pussies fast.Quote:

Same here, I think it took me 2 hours or so. It wasn't THAT bad. It helped in a way because I got to travel around everywhere and unlock doors and caves I couldnt before. I think I'll go buy Majora's Mask today or tomorrow.Quote:

It seemed to have taken me more than 40 minutes, as whenever a new section of the ocean would open up to me I'd explore it pretty thoroughly. Then having to go back AGAIN through all of those sections to pick up the Tri-Force pieces and compare map sections to islands just to find the secrets just got me bored and lost me.Quote:

listen? er, you do know we are reading this, listening wont help much. but no, the triforce quest made use of most of the areas that werent used for the main quest, it reminded me of the hortator quest in morrowind. it didnt bother me at all, and you are all still pussies.Quote:

Shit. :D . Okay, just double checked. I'm wrong. The one game that isnt on that disc is The Link to The Past.Majoras Mask is on it.Quote:

You damn straight I hated Zelda II since I was 1 and a half.
Anyway wether you play MM on the bonus disc or not, they didn't update the graphics or anything.
Those good N64 games need a graphics revamp desperately. Id love to go back and play some of the few N64 games I liked but I know Ill be repulsed by the blurry textures and lack of detail. Itd be cool if there was some fans working on that for an emulator or something, but I know Nintendo (who supposedly loves their fans) would C&D right away.

I know there was one for OOT that was pretty damn nice
I tried it out and it made a good bit of difference (obviously the polys are the same) if I had an N64 or Gamecube to PC adaptor I'd play it on the emulator
I noticed something that caught my eye with TP and the spaceworld demo, the colors are washed out.

diff, there's a realistic limit to them "loving" their fans, and you can't expect Nintendo to not issue a cease and desist order if fans were to do that. It'd be a legal nightmare for them. Now if they were to claim ignorance towards such a thing, that'd be another story, but given that they've stopped fan-made projects before (like OoT with the 16-bit Zelda graphic style), something like that probably wouldn't fly with them.
Aan emulator might fly, legally, but if they had to use the ROM to do it, then there'd be an issue. I'd have to wonder how much an emulator-based graphics enhancer would help the blurry textures as a whole. I'm just imagining it being like the PS2's graphical enhancement stuff, where it helps somet hings and tends to hurt others. I could see Nintendo offering up some texture enhancements with the Revolution's downloadable game feature. That way, they'd make money off of it, and folks could have access to a cleaned up game if they so desird.
haha, Dyne giving posting tips!Quote:

This game is not supposed to be darker, grittier, et al for the sake of red-meat eating men.
Get that straight.
THIS game was made for one purpose - to capitalize on the "Square-Enix tools" who think pretty boys in kickass roles are cool.
So you get a pretty-boy Link and make him kick copious ass. Then, add a furry element with werewolf transformation. Then to ensure legions of sexually depraved idiot manga/anime zelots will buy your game, you give a name like "Twilight Princess" so that you moron drones will be writing erotic and homoerotic fanfic for the game BEFORE IT COMES OUT.
Congrats Nintendo; you finally figured out what Squenix has been doing for the past decade. Kudos, you raped my childhood buddy and turned him into a tool of the subculture's fucked up ideaizations of what is 'cool'
Thanks.
But fuck, the title doesn't make you gay if you play it. Shut the hell up, guys. Now, if you understood all those subtleties I mentioned, then you're ok with your accusations. But calling out a game just for a namem alone is pretty pointless. Do your homework.
I think Hero just came very close to jumping the shark.
I am not kidding you here; you have no idea the amount of mindless Square whores I've run into all aflutter over the new Zelda. Why? Because Link is HAWT now. And the theory I just tossed up would explain the ludicrous title of "Twilight Princess."
Although all crazy ideas aside, call it Twilight Princess or call it I Can Play This Game and then Have an Orgy with 5 Hot Women Because Zelda is So Fucking Manly Now and it would still play like the same damn thing. I'm kinda bummed that the series even went in this direction when Wind Waker had a much more fresh artistic take, whereas this is just a cop-out for all those who didn't want Wind Waker - wannabe ass-kickers, furry lovers, bishonen morons and everything in between.
Yeah, because Zelda fangirls didn't go apeshit over teenage Link in OoT, nope, not at all.
This is true too. So you reclaim the OoT fangirls, gain the Square dopes and rake in the cash.
hero, did you get some bad perscription meds here? you are unusually bitter. one, the whole dark thing is not new to the zelda franchise, there were darker elements in both oot and majoras mask, they are pushing them a little more to try and get a wider audience interested in it, but i doubt it will really be that much darker than anything we have seen before, this is zelda, not god of war. yes it may get square fangirls on its side, but it seemstp be pushing more for teenagers who jsut discoverd lotr from the movies and want a character liek legolas, lotr pulled in a good bit more viewers than any square game in the us, so i woudl be tthey are going more for the former group than the altter. finally, not everyone who likes werewolves is a furry, im kind of getting pissed off by the assumption people who are interested in the archtypal psychological dichotomy between the structured civilized human and the latent power of natural, uncultivated strength get shoehorned with a bunch of depraived perverts. werewolves/=furries. /end rant
"See all 82 tracks on this disc" Haha!Quote:

I'm just here to remind everyone it's the left-handed TP Link for this, as God intended.
Hoping that means no waggle, also as intended
Is left handed Link a thing?
Just as much as the Zelda timeline!
i hope waggle is an option...
