The ground textures look like shit, especially the dirt one. Very blurry and N64-like. Very sharp character models though.

I knew Yuji Naka started to really, REALLY lose it after Billy Hatcher, and this game proves that Yuji Naka transcended another layer of shit. Seeing the images of Shadow holding a gun while he's jumping and running around has ignited a new type of rage I have never felt before.

I'm still trying to identify this type of rage, but it does make me wish that someone (re: Yuji Naka) is not only forced away from this industry, but also gets seriously injured during his tarred and feathered exodus. It looks like the shadow levels from SA2, without anything else. Which is what alot of people wanted.

It's running on the same engine. Unless they've done a ton of tweaking to it, I still expect to routinely be shooting off the edge of the level because the camera changed but the control orientation didn't.

Or not. Because I won't buy this.

In the October issue of Play (they keep sending me this shit mag even though I never payed for it and I never will) in the Shadow the Hedgehog preview, I read one of the funniest things I've read in a long time. Dave Halverson has hit a new low:

"Shadow is the cherry on top of the best Sega holiday lineup in its history. With Spartan: Total Warrior, Condemned, Full Auto, Gunstar Super Heroes, Sonic Rush, Shining Force Neo, and Shadow (the Hedgehog) all in the hopper, it's go time for Sega blue, er, make that black...just for now"

That looks like a dreamcast game.

Sonic Adventure 1 was fun, but everything that wasn't a Sonic level was dumb. SA2 was miserable, buggy trash. I never bothered with Heroes, and this looks like more of the same.

Yeah, Sonic Heroes is in serious contention for the worst 20 bucks I ever spent. Barring that, this game looks like a lot of fun and I can't wait for it to come out.

Isn't there a rule that furries can't be badass in the sense that they seem to be trying to portray Shadow? That 'envelope art' makes me cringe. Bleck. When are they going to make a game starring just Sonic? Or at least one where Sonic, Knuckles and Tails are playable. I'm not much for all the other new characters they seem to add every game or so.

I just can't make myself like Shadow.

Isnt the 360 game just Sonic? The short video I seen looked pretty good.(360 Sonic, not the shitty Shadow game)

Negatory. But Sonic's all that's been shown thus far. Don't know if it'll have exploration and shooting levels and all that nonsense that people don't seem to like much, but the other characters will still be a part of it.
