1) Arg, I hate it when people just refer to them as childrens books. You just have to read them to see why everyone likes them. Besides, if you like the movies there's no way you won't like the books that are are many times better.

3) He fights everyone. I think most people think the 5th book is the worst one, and it's the longest book so all sorts of shit is going to get cut for the movie.

Believe me, I liked this movie enough that I'd given thought to checking the books out. I probably won't, as my book shelf is filled with shit I need to get to, but the thought is there. I have no doubt that the books are charming.

Hey, I can't blame him...when I saw the fucking kids tied to the lake bed I was like "WTF, Hogwarts is down with Satan" and shit. The book may say they were never in danger, but no one in the movie said that. Dumbledore came off like a pre-NOOOOOOO Darth Vader because of it.

Well, it's not like the books are going anywhere, so as long as you get around to reading them when you get the chance it's all good.

My only complaint with the series is that there is no Chuck Norris involvment.

That was one of the things that bothered me, because I was trying to watch the movie as if I had never read the book and not enough was explained. Had they done everything properly, the movie would have been over four hours long, so they did well with what they had, but they still could have taken those few extra seconds to explain scenes like that. It really was only a matter of making it a few minutes longer to flesh out those small details.

The kid that plays Ron is the best actor in the world. Discuss

People seem to shit on him a lot, I think he plays the roll the way Ron was written.

Dumbledore also freaked me out a little when he rolled up on Harry and was all like, "DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET, HARRY?!? DID YOU?!? DIIIID YOUUUUUU!??!??!? RAAAHHHHHHGGGG!!!!"
