Well, your comment seems to show that you feel that people getting screwed over by the law is ok, as long as they broke a law.
Not all laws are fair or needed.

It is still three different things. For piracy to be like someone breaking into your house they would need to break into your house, bring wood, and build a perfect copy of your coffie table, then leave with the copy of your coffie table. You'd then have to sell your coffie table and it not sell because Joe the theif who was going to buy your coffie table did not do so because he already has the copy he made while you were sleeping last thursday.
You aren't filling a need by stealing a movie though. And the pirater is certainly not giving back to the piratee. Well that and I wasn't cutting anyone's hands off.
