Weird, most people I know don't like GASM because it beats the fuck out of you now (and they braked the shit out of it). Arrow coasters don't age well.Quote:

If you guys want to talk about a coaster that kicks the shit out of you, then ride the chiller. That thing's restraints would slam your head so hard and fuck up your ears so bad that I found it difficult to get anyone to ride with me. And it's a shame to see viper go, I always liked who it was designed to make you fall out of your seat during the corkscrews.
I can agree with this. I've been six flags so many damn times it just starts to get boring.Quote:
It's a good thing, everything but Nitro was beginning to bore me.
Hey come on, Nitro is great, that big drop is awesome when you sit in the front row.Quote:
With this, there's absolutely NO need for Nitro at Great Adventure, since Nitro was just a big drop, and now it's only half a big drop.
Six Flag's Rolling Thunder is like this, it feels like it's about to fall apart at any given moment, which is part of the appeal.Quote:
Not to be one of those "Everything that's not new is better" pricks, but I seriously prefer slower wooden coasters to these steel coasters which basically pamper you along the tracks. I like to be beaten into submission around every turn if I have the option.
Damn, what's with all the Superman hate 'round here.
I liked Nitro, due in part to the buildup around how high up you were going as you moved up the first hill. Kingda Ka looks good, but the video made it seem awful short. Hope it's more exciting in real life.
These types of rides are extremely short. Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point is only like 35ish some seconds long, from when you sit down, till when you get out of your seat. The wait for it is WELL worth it though, the speed and height are like nothing you've ever experienced before. Hell, even after being on Millenium Force many many many times, I was still caught off gaurd with the speed and height of Top Thrill Dragster. If anyone is able to get on Kingda Ka, I HIGHLY recommend it, even with a 3 hour wait, it's damn well worth it.Quote:

(This was acurate back when it came out I don't know if its still true) On the top of the coaster's trains (or whatever you call them) is a censor that is needed to operate the ride. The coaster is positioned in such a way that everyday when the sun is at a certain location in the sky, the censor would get bombarded with sunlight causing it to cease to function properly, so every day at this time the ride has to be shut down until the sun moves.
It was so boring.Quote:

I'm not surprised at all, Top Thrill Dragster has the same exact problems all the time. Most of the time the line is 3+ hours not because of the number of people in line, but because the ride constantly breaks down, it seems Kingda Ka is no exception to this.Quote:
