This is coming out on July 28th in Japan for PS2, but at E3 a trailer was shown and they may be bringing it here I guess. Here is the official site -

I hope this comes out here. Ive always wanted to play it. The saturn version goes for $90+ on ebay.
YOSSY!
What's this game about? It looks a little...ya know...girly.
Its kind of like a normal 2D shooter...except the playfield is divided into two sections for each player, and the more enemies you kill on your side- the more enemies and projectiles appear on your opponent's.
Great game.
Got-Next said they're releasing the game over here.
Swift, you're 17 and made some crappy log of you trying to be cool as a camp counselor. That's as girly as it gets without having boobs. My estorgen levels tripled when I read that.
Twinkle Star Sprites is totally rad.
It's one of those games that looks cute but is a brutal bastard underneath the candy-floss coating. Way to go SNK for finally thinking about considering on whether or not to bring it to the US, maybe!

Isn't that what they yell when they throw bombs? ;) Lovely game. The 3d one on Dreamcast was also fun.Quote:

This is going to come out over here?!?
You would think by now I wouldn't be surprised when crazy announcements about games coming to the US are made anymore, but I still am.
Wasnt that Napolm321?Quote:

Fucking cheapest bitch ever in a videogame.
She is the last boss and will evade every thing you throw at her. She cuts through your boss summons like wet paper and dry humps your special attacks. Twinkle Star Sprites is a relatively easy game when going through the 1P mode but that shithoe is just the ultimate brick wall.
I hope they keep the kickass win quotes though. Everyone talks like retards it is wonderful.

Me and Josh used to play TSS all the time, it was great.

I'm not sure what dakidski is talking about. The Dreamcast version is the same as the original MVS version (so is the saturn) but with addons. La Petite Princess is a full remake it seems, but possibly it will have the original game thrown in as well?Quote:

The DC version rox0rz.
Hopefully they won't try to "attitude" this one up.
EXTREME!
This is a fan favorite at NG.com getogethers. And it's easy to see why - it's like a puzzle/shooter.
I'd actually love to see this come out on the Xbox, because playing this over Live would be nuts.
Well, unless SNK were to get their act together and do their online network over here for the PS2, like they have in Japan.
Truth. Me and Josh played on winkawaks til the wee hours in the mornings back in the day.
Oh yes that was something I forgot. When it was first announced it was said to have online play, but who knows if that will also come over here or if it is even still part of the game.
Sweet Sauce
Ok the 3-D thing you are thinking of is the Cotton series no? DC Cotton sucks balls, Saturn Cotton Boomerang and #2 rock, as does the PSX Cotton.
DC TSS rocks and was the first import I purchased. DC added no slowdown, different music, etc. And yes 3 hidden chars that you can simply decide to ban, like many of us do when playing the game competetively. My favorite is Dark Ran, simply for he design and all that.
But yes a PS2 version w/online = sold. This really is a unique and addicting game.
ssb
Yeah, Cotton on DC sucked. It looked kinda neat, but the controls were...just not right. It felt like I was controlling a rubberband.
What the hell are you rambling about this time?Quote:

Backhanded apology +1
I really hope Sony gets their act in gear with the PS3... because PS2 online is shittier than I couldve ever imagined in 2002 and PSP is much the same way. Normally Id say, "well you could play online games thats good enough" but its really not when XBL is around. Sony fanboys should be demanding the same, this shit is just second rate.Quote:

Yeah, because SvC Chaos wasn't online...
So SNK released a PS2 version of SvC Chaos in the US that was online?Quote:

Right, but they didn't actually set up their own online server line they did in Japan. That was the point.
This new chick Mikoto is handing me my ass on a regular basis.
Nevermind, handled that bitch.
Wait. When does this come out over here?
Why isn't it on the Xbox?
Because that'd be too easy.
It came out in Japan. It is mostly just a remake (3d polygons are used) but you can unlock the original AES version as well.
That's awesome. :DQuote:

Awesome, how do you do that? Beat the game in story mode or all the characters mode?Quote:

This also has online play, will be coming out in the US, and since pretty much every SNK game is hitting the Xbox lately I wouldn't be surprised if it showed up there.
GOTY if it comes out on xbox.
I'd be happy.Quote:
