The future of the US

Somebody will finally figure out how to use a new cheaper renewable source of power, and oil will become about as useful as sawdust. The corrupt governments of the Middle East will collapse without the money from selling Oil, and peace will still be elusive as they find something else to bicker about. Oh ya, religion. The rest of the world will continue to turn away from North America, and the US will become more isolationist as a result. Some politician will be elected for saying fuck the world, we don't need them anyway. Americas borders will be closed and the military will be pared down to enforce American Security only. China and India will have a base on the moon. They gotta export all those people somewhere.

I got a question. Let's say the US does put it's borders on lockdown. Where will all the border jumpers go? What country is the alternative? Because it seems like a lot of fucking people want to sneak in here.

Maybe it's just because I'm in the South, but I really haven't had any real good pinko activist professors. I've had a few aged hippies, but they were relatively harmless. Also, and I don't know if this was apparent or not, but I'm 99% kidding about the whole Wal-Mart thing.

Mexicans illegally come here because (A) Mexico is a corrupt shithole, (B) its easy to get into. Its a combination of the two elements... if Mexico gets better, less people would come. If its harder to get into, less people would come. Ideally, both would happen. But if (B) happens without (A)... they probably wont go anywhere.

The US really needs to get on the stick and start making products the same way China does, and I'm not talking cheep slave labor. These days they have robotic plants that make clothes. The shit looks to be on the same level as NASA. Sure, yeah, they still have slave labor making most of our stuff, but we need to get into this entire robotics stuff more. It would help us make more and pay people less and keep the money made here.

The US needs to figure out ways to keep work in the US and keep the overall price of production cheep. We are not helping Mexicans by bringing them here on busses and treating them like slaves. Sure it’s a bit better than not working at all in Mexico and starving, but not by much. We need to figure out ways to employ more Americans and also heavily fine those who use Mexicans like slaves.

Its funny you ask that. I read a piece in a local paper mentioning that Mexicans are starting to view Canada as the more preferable place to immigrate to.

They should enforce equal pay to aliens and unionise them, removing the incentive to employ them while raising the living standards of the ones that still manage to get work.

In 50 years things will pretty much be the same except that we'll finally have hoverboards by then.
