Good luck getting a liquor license in New Jersey. I'm not 100% sure if it's for the entire state, but at least in the north there is a certain amount of liquor licenses allowed to be given out. When one frees up (a place shuts down, can't afford to keep it) there are people jumping on top of each other to get it. The catch? It costs well into the 6 figures to get it.

Heh. Actually, when the guy I was talking about got his machine, he moved it and the rest of his shit around to a bunch of locations until he went back to the flea market. This time, he's put redemption games and shit all over the place, which is the smartest thing one can do, 'cause they're cheap, easy to service, and bring in money from people who don't play rhythm game #47. Funny thing is, a few of the regulars got angry at him for doing that, for some reason. People are fucking weird, I tell ya.

Dude, that guy is back in Tri-County? wtf, he's all over the place.

BTW, the arcade game I see getting the most play lately is that crazy Sega horse breeding/racing game with the huge widescreen. The Jillian's in Farmingdale has one with 8 sit-down monitors set up to it and it's always PACKED no matter what time it is. Men, women, couples, will sit there all day, eating, drinking, and playing this fucking game. I don't get it at all.

That Sega game is Derby Owners' Club. I'll probably play maybe once or twice a visit, but it's nothing I could sit there all day on.

It's rather expensive at a bit over $2 for 6-10 minutes (assuming you buy chips in the $25 rounds) at Dave & Buster's. These people are probably sinking over $100 into it a night. :eep:
