RE4-like games on PS2?

Ok, sounds like DMC3 may be a pretty safe bet. I wouldn't buy something thats not 60hz pal.

There are plenty of PS2 games with shitty controls.

Yes, Dino Crisis 1 was on DC, part 2 is more action oriented and better.

I can't believe people would compare the gameplay of RE4 and DMC3. Gameplay wise nothing compares to RE4. Cold Fear is a very OK rip off.
RE4 is totally separate from the classic survival genre.

The atmosphere is not at all similar though.

If you're into Shinji's episodic action-genre, he has plety to keep you entertained. There's also Kill Switch, an action game with the same over the shoulder style POV. I think it's made by Konami.
