Official- Lords Of Dogtown

I thought i should make this official, like many threads before it... I saw Lords of Dogtown premeire last night, and i must say i loved it. I know many of you might not enjoy such a film, it hasnt too much plot and is basically the 'summer' film thats gets made every summer. Some gnarly oldschool skate scenes, coupled with surfing and Heath Ledger playing an old drunk (nice change). The movie was hilarious, in my eyes...

I loved the first film Dogtown and the Z-boyz, and i love skating and all skate related, the shots of the stlye they used when skating was so nice and refreshing from what we see today, with stairs and rails.. i couldnt get enough.. :)
Theres no spoilers, you cant really spoil a true story, unless you havent heard it before.. and if you've seen the first flick it basically just acts out the interviews

I have been skating for like, 4 years now.. i love shit like this..its what i do. i think it is YOUR stock that is failing.. i dont need that aight man.. just move along..

I just wanted to start a thread about something i really like, dont hate on me.

My father knew the Z-boys, during the days of his careless twenties when he ran away from NY to live in Cali for a few years. They were already pretty big when he'd met them, but he's told me stories about when he'd skate pools with them, etc.

We're interested in seeing the movie to see if the legend keeps in touch with reality.

I'm a sucker for skater movies. I want a Gleaming the Cube 2.

I had seen the film Dogtown and the Z-boyz on DVD a while ago at my friends house...I dont think I'd watch it in the threatres...I would wait till its released on DVD or on the Movie network...

The documentary of the Z-Boys was supposed to be really good, and apparently this is basically a fiction interpretation of it.
