DS comes with free Mario 64 DS starting on June 12th.

Which figures, because I just bought one with Mario on Friday.
I don't mind though. I got mine dirt cheap (the equivalent of about $100 US) and I basically haven't put the thing down since, so it's worth it. I haven't played a system non-stop this much since I first got Xbox. The touch screen thing genuinely is fun and novel - especially if you're like me and you've never owned a pocket PC/blackberry. It's nice that there's something tangibly different about the system other than just graphics.

And GBA games look freaking awesome on the DS screen, with proper backlighting unlike the SP's sidelighting. And the sprites aren't all blown up and blocky like they appear on the GC Player.

Anyway, I'll probably skip Kirby, but at the moment it honestly looks to me like the DS might have the best overall software lineup this year. Though I'm definitely interested to see how the 360 launch goes.

The inclusion of free Mario 64 has pushed me over the edge. I'll be picking up an electric blue DS on sunday, then Kirby a couple days later.

This is the best Japanese game since Resident Evil 4. The pace is frantic, the levels have some nice branching, and the stylus control becomes second nature in about 15 minutes. Great game.

The Japanese version came with a pink stylus?!...I was reading that on NCS. Anyways, from what I have seen (some kid imported it at my local EB) and heard online, It sounds like is going to be a great game...

Can you blurb a little on the overall difficulty of the game? I've been hearing some reports the thing is all over in a few hours or less.

I can't speak to length yet, but getting through the levels is pretty quick. There are a total of 250 tokens to collect. It wouldn't surprise me if it only takes a few hours to run through it if you don't want to see/collect everything.

Difficulty scales very nicely and the later stages are rough, but yes, the main game is short.

However! There are lots of well designed minigames + a time and score attack for all the main stages. Several unlockable player characters, too.

Buy it already, it's easily the DS' best game and one of the best platformers around.
