In Soviet Russia, computer infects YOU!
From Russia with love (and viruses.)
Thats really low but I am sure they're not the only ones who do something like this. I'm just greatful that there is good software out there to prevent malware from hijacking your browser and net connections.
They're definitely douche-bags, but they only mess with people who don't know how to properly use a computer.
The only good software that does that is called UNIX.Quote:

Though Mac OS X is nice.
Its because Unix is far from user friendly. The only reason I know how to use Unix is because my major required me to take a basic Unix class, and shell scripting class, and to this day the only time I use it is when I am transfering files from my school network to home (or vice versa).Quote:

Oh well, Im a OSX user anyways...
With the exception of MacOSX, UNIX is hard to get into, but Linux is a joke.
Debian, Xandros, Ubuntu, SUSE are all very easy to set up and use, easier than windows in some cases.
The idea that you need to use the command line to use Linux is just ridiculous. Just stay away from the hardcore geek distros like slackware, and you'll be fine.
I used Mandrake, and it wasnt hard to use, I hated the interface. Part of that was the unfamiliarity, but every piece of software had a half-assed and incomplete clone of whatever's the big shot on Windows. Look at GIMP, its miserable.
Oh, also, I just got a digital camera at the time, and the OS wouldnt recognize my camera, and I couldnt figure out how to install and run the necessary stuff. It was stupid.
Are you happy now? You put me out of a job. Back to the crack rocks for me.Quote:
