For me the invert look started with Goldeneye.

Yeah WTF is up with not being able to change the horizontal invert in FF12. I looked everywhere for that option. I'm 10 hours in and its still messing me up.

I had the same fucking problem! I played FFXII for 30 hours before I got Gears of War, and BAM I start playing and feel like I'm dyslexic. Even though I know Gears controls properly, and that FFXII is ass backwards.

can you change the split screen from horizontal to vertical in gears?

No you can't. But you really wouldn't want to since you're never really shooting above you, the whole game is very horizontal in nature.

Yeah, the game was designed for splitscreen to be horizontal.

I start to play a game, think for a moment on "up is up and down is down" or "flight controls" and same thing for the X-axis and then I'm fine for the rest of the game. They both used to mess with me too, back during ye olde Playestation days, but a little concentration fixed everything.

So maybe I'm odd but I'm cool with both. If I really had to push for a choice: Normal for any kind of a FPS/third-person shooter and inverted for anything that involves flight/full 3D movement.

I can't believe I'm missing out on this game. I need a 360 now.

Master and I just finished co-op a little while ago. We're going to turn around and do it on Insane very soon (maybe some tomorrow). This game is just...unbelievable. It's miles ahead of any game to come out this year and there have been some damn good ones. They did almost everything right and came closer to the perfect gaming experience than anyone else.

I can pretty much throw my other consoles away because there's just no point. I mean, really, what am I going to do with them? It's fast, it's visceral, it's replayable, it's beautiful. The PS3 and the Wii got even further away from 'must-buy' status.

Whoever said Insane wasn't too hard was completely right. If you have the aim and the strategy you can take down people really quick. Brand and I found that in many cases all it takes is finding the right spot to hang out and you can fucking destroy an entire room in a matter of seconds.

One of the best examples is the fight at the end of the second act, if a sniper goes into the room to the right of the bridge they can snipe everyone out across the courtyard one by one while everyone keeps them distracted; then if that same person runs back to the car right as the four boomers are coming up they can shoot them from behind with the sniper and grenade the fuck out of them while they're distracted. It's almost cheating it's so easy.
