I'd expect no less...

Then they'll build Gundams and rebel against the unjust rule of Earth.
Seems to me that if America had actually ever put a man on the moon we'd have returned there quite some time ago given the advances in technology.
Not when it's still expensive. And when the public doesn't generally support expensive exploration purely for its own sake. The only reason we went in the first place was because of competition with the Soviets.
I've never believed that we did go in the first place.
A nearly 600,000 mile roundtrip through a vacuum using combustion based propulsion?
No.
More than that. Who was holding the camera during the landing?

Penn & Teller actually covered the conspiracy of the moon landing being faked in their Bullshit show on Showtime. I didn't see the episode, but my friend who did see it said that they did a good job detailing why the conspiracy nuts believe that the moon landing never happened, and then disproved the conspiracy nuts. You might want to track that episode down (and start watching the series - their Bible episode is one of the best 30 minutes you'll see on TV).Quote:

Many (most?) of the conspiracy theories can be traced to communist/socialist groups with an anti-American agenda. This is a topic that can create a good thread discussiion...Quote:

As long as they don't give their robots emotions and intellect and shit, I'll be okay. They can make them glorified entry-level workers who also double as really advanced blow-up dolls, but the second they start questioning existence, Japan's getting another nuke mailed to their collective asses for being so stupid. Hasn't Blade Runner taught them anything?Quote:

Finally, there is the fact that the lunar samples brought back resemble nothing from the earth. There is no conspiracy.Quote:
