Lost Kingdoms (f.k.a. RUNE) for GC

Well, this game comes out in the next few days and I've seen hide nor hair of any kind of posting about it. The concept is interesting, and the graphics look DC-esque, which are two pluses in my book. But beyond that, I've seen nothing. Nothing on combat, gameplay, story, length, difficulty, nothing. Any of you out there waiting for this to come out? Are you fine with letting it slide by without so much as a second glance? Could you out-right not care less? Or, possibly, are you waiting for bated breath for what you think will be the next "big thing?"

P.S. To those of you who recomended Sakura Taisen 3 to me, good show! I love it, and I haven't even got to the first mech battle yet!

RUNE does sound very cool, and I think it'll be one of the first titles I get for GC when I end up getting one. Some excellent impressions and gameplay information can be found here:

It's strange that the game hasn't received more attention than it has. There seems to be a dearth of RPGs (traditional, action, and otherwise), and Lost Kingdoms/RUNE will help fill the void. I dunno, maybe everybody passes it off as a Pokeclone on first glance and doesn't bother checking it out further.

As soon as I get my Cube in two or three weeks, this will be one of my first purchases. I've been interested in it since last year, so it'll be nice to finally play it.

I guess you missed my posts on this one, as I about had a heart attack when I heard Rune was coming out over here (and before Eternal Darkness!?!?).

I've had my copy reserved for about 3 weeks or so... (I almost imported Rune, and the next day I heard about a domestic release)

Check NCSX for a little bit of a run-down om it. It's in the GC import section (obviously).

I think Im gonna pick it up this week. It'll tide me over until eternal darkness comes atleast. from software has a good track record, so i have no qualms in supporting them.

Meh... looks kinda generic. Might be good, but I'm thinking like... Ephemeral Phantasia here.

Graphically speaking it doesn't look like anything to write home about. Asthetically - well, same as above though the main character seems to have a really flat face in all the character art I've seen. That's no big deal - it's just all I really know about it. Flat face girl stars in traditional RPG. Seen neiher hide nor hair of oher party members.

I've been keeping an eye on Rune since it was announced, and something about it just appeals to me.

I'd pick it up on release along with a GC, except for the fact that I've been spending WAY to much on Saturn stuff lately...lol

Lost Kingdoms looks really good !!
Damn, as soon as I move home for the summer, a fine looking GameCube game comes out and my housemate takes his Cube home with him.

Hmm, how are the graphics? The box shots don't look too hot and no sites seem to have good pics of it, does it look like basic Dreamcast graphics or above solid good gamecube graphics?

the whole time I was playing it, i was trying to categorize the graphics. The graphics remind me of PSO for DC. In some ways its better, but in some ways PSO looks better. Overall, its a pretty decent looking game. 7/10 maybe.
The music is really good though. loading times are short, and the presentation is really good. a lot of love went into making this game. Top 5 cube titles so far, I'd say, not that that is saying too much. A great game to sweeten up the wait for eternal darkness and mario, thats for sure.

Yeah, its a good buy. Im gonna keep it. Hell, this is the first domestic console game i've boughten this year. If you're into RPG's with a focus on action, you'll dig Lost Kingdoms. Now we just need a US release of gold star mountain...
