I didn't make a guild yet. What should I call it?
By the way, I am at work sitting next to an overclocked GeForce 7900GT - I won't have to play at 800x600 via integrated graphics tonight.
Guild name suggestions, please.

Mortal Kombat.

*cough* All you see are the initials, so having a cool name doesn't help anything.Quote:

Jump on the WOW TNL guild's Ventrilo and tell me it's not incredible. Ventrilo has become a worldwide WOW guild staple because it's so superior.Quote:

I had the basic version of Ventrilo put up on the TNL server to try it out tonight. Does the WOW group have the professional version?
Yeah I believe they pay $15 a month and can support a ton of people at once. They have a better codec too for awesome sound quality.
WOW kids are always on.Quote:

You can buy signets of capture starting at the skill trainer in Quarrel Falls, and at any skill trainer further through the game than Quarrel Falls. You can also get two signets of capture through a quest in Lion's Arch, but you have to do a quest with excavation in it's name first. Then just popl the signet of capture after you've killed a boss of one of your character's proffessions.
U have to do the quest in LA before you can buy Cap Sigs anywhere so go to Lions Arch the dude should be up on a hill somewhere...w/e the whole story is he developed them and wants u to try it out and he'll give u one for free...
grrr @ Vasteel
ok picked it up but will work in an hour, so ill mess around with it later, the temptation to reroll amanda is strong witht he new customization features, you guys will get me back to 14 pretty fast, right?
haha damnit i wish i could magically fix my comp...
Got the Capture Signet. Now I just need to advance the Storyline Missions to where I can get to the bosses I need for Illusionary Weapon. I also hit 20. Yay!
yeah IW owns in small groups like 4v4 but if your trying to do HA u better learn how to play a shutdown mes cause thats all the PUGS r gonna want u to play...
ok. WTF is HA? I'm assuming PUGS is Pick-Up GroupS?
Anyone who's not a total bitch should be online tonight.
Actually, I'm about to go get some sex. Sorry.
Yeah, well, you and I both know that married sex doesn't take precedence over games, so enjoy your new found freedom. Fucker.
Frostwolf is in the guild. You'll all be SOBs soon (as if you aren't already).
MarsKitten has been enlisted as well. We have chicks!
I'll be on from 6:30-10:30 Central Time Monday and probably similar hours on Tuesday. I assume I should pick up Factions before then?
most people here dont have it yet, but i really like it, it appeals to the inner f-chan, leveling up is pretty quick, and you can make a male elementalist that dosent look like a hairdresser.
Yoshi, you need to get me on your guild so I can see what kind of setup you got.
oh, and don't you wish the person in the pic below was playing? :p
I'm holding out to find a CE of Factions, so I don't have it yet either. I am finally nearing ascension in Prophecies though.

Cool, thanks. I've done the mission/bonus for 14 of the 25 so far. I'd be farther, but I refuse to move on until the bonus is done.
Nick's now a guild officer, so treat him with respect. ;)
I smell bacon.
what kind of builds do u guys use anyways?
What is the guild info? I have a 24 pack of beer.. who wants to hang out...
Hit up Yoshi's character "Mustum Arden" or Nick's character "The Man In Charge" to get an invite.
I'll hop on now to see if anyone needs an invite.
BTW, I ascended tonight! :D
I also bought a set of drok's armor. I had been holding out, so my armor went from +30 to +60 per piece.
Depends on my mood, if I want to be evil, I go interupt heavy mes/mo with rebirth, or if i feel like smacking people, i Do blackout/il weapon.Quote:

Yeah, the pre-searing stuff is pretty easy to solo but not as much fun as the full-blown world you'll soon see.
Today is all about getting my 176th through 200th Attribute point from the quest and getting Illusionary Weapon. Then my build will be complete and I can focus on exploring and earning badges.
If anyone needs help, I'm always willing. Just shout.
Yeah, the thing is the early stuff can be a bit misleading regarding what the game is all about. I felt the same way at first, but now I love it. It's all about the build and PvP.Quote:

See if you can get me to drop by as a guest, I don't wanna leave my current guild a 2nd time and ask for membership privilages all over again.
We don't have a hall yet, so I don't think we can invite guests.
What does it take for a guild hall?
17k from what I heard. I'd pitch in, but there's gonna have to be a solid spot for me in order to do so.
Diff, are you past the pre stage yet? I'll be willing to help you out if you need anything.
We might also want to consider a Cantha guild hall, because you can actually get merchants, Xunlai, crafters, skill traders, and all that shit to set up shop there. You might be able to that in OG now too, I don't know.
Yep, Tyrian Guild Halls now have all that stuff too.Quote:

I reached level 5 and am enjoying the game slightly more. It's still lame IMO but I realize I havent gotten to the meat of the game. I want to just jump ahead with the searing or whatever.
I loathe taking a character through pre-searing and out of Ascalon. The game gets good around Lion's Arch, in my opinion. You should have a pretty good selection of skills by then. Noob Island in Factions (Shing Jea Monastery) is SO much more entertaining. Much much less running around for 200-500 exp. The quests are more challenging, are far more rewarding, the content is much more condensed. The little trials are fun. By the time you leave noob island, you'll be around level 13-15 and it will take you an evening. You'll probably be in the same position in Ascalon when you hit either the Shiverpeaks or Lion's Arch (depending on how much of pre-searing you trudged through) and it will take you significanly longer.
Does anyone have a link to all of the available badges or whatever they are called? I'm talking about the exploration, cartography, skill discovery, etc. things that show up on the third tab of your Hero window (H).
I got my Illusionary Weapon elite and my 200 attribute points yesterday, so my build is done. I'm looking forward to focusing on PvP after I finish the missions and bonuses.
I dont think alans posted his char name yet...holla back playa

Give this a read, diff. Warning, your head might explode.
well depends what kind of ranger your gonna do if your gonna go power (haha power ranger) or interrupt. Elemantalist is good cause u have use of obsidian flame and i've seen my bro do some amazing shit with that. U could also try being a bunny bopper (thats what my guild calls Ranger/warriors that use hammers i dont care what anybody says my bro was the first person to use that build and use it well)Quote:

I was trying out my necro/meser for random battles and I noticed that working on affecting curses only works when you have a good team to take advantage of it or else we get bowled over. Just because these nubs keep screwing up, I'll have to go back to blood and death magic.
All I need is some good pvp teams to work with.
We badly need to get a PvP foursome and then eight together.
Heh, I won't list all my characters (I'm an alt-aholic) but the ones I know I'm keeping are:
Keoma Kinski: Ranger/Assassin
Fitz Slayn: Elementalist/Monk
I also have a Assassin/Ritualist. I'm not sure I like Assassin as a primary, so he may end up getting deleted.
Mesmer is probably my favorite class, but I'm still working on which sub I like for it. Right now I have a Me/R a Me/A and a Me/Rt while I decide which one I like best.
Diff, a good damage dealing and healing class is Ritualist, but that's Factions only I'm afraid. Necros can heal themselves with blood magic and create wells of blood that gives party memebers around corpses health regeneration. You may want to go E/Ne or if you would prefer to straight up heal a person, Mo/E or E/Mo. A monk's exclusive primary attribute increases the amount they heal, while an Elementalist's exclusive primary attribute increases their max energy.
If you'd like to check out the skills of the varying classes, try going to gwonline.net.
Rangers have a healing trap, too, but that's pretty much the only healing they can do for anyone but themselves or their pet, though.
Ritualists are pieces of shit like Shamans in WoW. I PvP'd against a few yesterday, and they are a bitch to kill once they get their totems, er, spirits set up.
U only really need to post 1 name...i put your Ra/A up on the front page.Quote:

A hex user is only as good as the warrior they have with em. IMHO :DQuote:

This guild needs some work. We need more niggas, and some ts/vent (which Nick is working on). Coming from WoW which always had people on and shit it is weak to be the only guild person on at 8:30pm.
That really stands true. I can only stick with people I plan ahead of time with otherwise they tend to go their own way after I've been marking targets to everybody.Quote:

It's about a million times better than WoW, but that is admittedly not difficult. It doesn't touch Oblivion or CoH/V. All the characters are pretty hot.Quote:

I haven't hit up mzo for a GW channel, but I don't think I've seen more than eight on at a time at GW anyway.
not grate, but not that bad, you get about 7 faces, and 10 hairstyles, a number of haircolors, and usually you get 4-6 skin colors, and a scaling slider to make your guy tall or short, but nothing fancy like swg or heroes. i ahvent seen too many that looked like me too. also the factions versions are different than prophecies ones. "prophecies" are the psudo-medevil looking guys, and "factions" are chinese/japanese looking. so you get a different 7 faces for making guys in prophecies than you do in factions, but they can cross over about half way through, my prophecies elementalist/mesmer is now wearing mostly factions outfits.Quote:

I am enjoying the game more, as I have gotten more skills. The problem is it seems hard to find a group in town, the people seem to be selling shit more than going on a quest. The henchmen are acceptable but still... Ill keep messing around with it. I *LOVED* Diablo 1 and played it all the time and this feels a lot like it. With the towns taking the place of the chat rooms. Are some districts more "inclined" to be for trade/grouping/etc.?
So far:
+very great graphics, and great technology
+lots of skills for lots of options
+very good enemy AI, probably thanks to the instancing, its way better than any MMO I've played.
-hard to find a group
-need more TNLers on.
-armor system seems somewhat daunting.
