I never thought I'd see the day when GPK the movie would hit DVD. Indeed it's a stirring moment in my life. Where oh where has that often played and most likely worn out and degraded VHS copy of GPK gone?

July 12th will be a true test of cinematic love. I'll finally learn if I've outgrown this movie. Many have tried and returned with tales along the lines of "Oh my God man, it fucking sucks ass!" and "Worst. Movie. Ever."

I care not of their harsh words. GPK to me is in the same group as Howard the Duck and Robot Jox, schlock in it's prime. Movies like these are why beer, friends and Saturday nights were invented.

July 12th can't come soon enough. I mean shit, "It doesn't get any grosser than this."

Just the title of this thread makes me want to jump out of an airplane.

I consider it a blessing that I can't remember a single frame of this movie.

Holy shit!! I have been trying to get this movie off of eBay, but the VHS tapes were always overpriced. Howard the Duck was a classic, is that on DVD as well?

All I can remember of the movie is when they are all locked in those jail cells. I am anxious to re-watch it.

I remember years ago one channel was promoting the new Garbage Pail Kids cartoon series along with the rest of their new cartoon lineup. I was anxious to see it, but come premiere time (and I got up early to catch all shows), GPK was a no-show. "Maybe they'll premiere it next week", I thought, but again I was disappointed. Soon, they stopped promoting the series and I always wondered why they never aired the show. Maybe it was for the best.

I wasn't even aware that they made a movie.
