The Sims 2 PSP and DS screens.
-
Now that we have a portable strong enough to handle the Sims correctly (Sup PSP) I can't wait to see how this turns out.
-
I love your sarcasm:)
They have better be more than painting when it comes to touchscreen controls. There are a lot of things they could do in the sims with the touchscren.
It would be great if they made a specific mini-game for each situation in the game. For instance the blender breaks or something, and the better you are at the specific mini-game the more repaired the device.
Of course cooking food is a given.
-
Yeah, aside from the fact it looks like ass...
-
Wow, it's like Welcome House for the PSOne. Thank God for the stuff made to make use of the DS. These cross-platform games just kill it.
-
Hey DS, I don't know if you were aware of this or not, but there was another Sims game that wasn't fully 3D and would have been better suited to your capabilities and drawbacks. Maybe you should consider imitating that instead.

You have no idea how many bad memories that sentence just drudged up. We will not speak of Keaton, his uncle, or my wasting $55 on that piece of shit ever again.

Ugh. Those DS graphics look like tattered ass.

Werd.
I think I'd prefer the DS' touchscreen but that PSP version looks a lot nicer. Good thing that since I have no urge to buy Sims games I won't be torn, but the decision would've been a lot easier if they had the DS stick to the 2D style (or those 3D characters on 2D backgrounds).

the DS version look like BEYOND ASS!!!
the textures on the DS are a sin!

Yeah, but, I bet the PSP versions painting creation feature is terrible.
-
Who gives a shit? It's not like anyone on this board was really going to buy either version of it.
-
I'm getting the PSP version.

Word. If it's close to the PC version, I'm totally there. Some of us arent Wapanese elitists who don't care about whacky gaming politics and enjoy BAKA GAIJIN OMG games from mega corporations.

The ironic thing is that The Sims is about as close to a stupid little KAWAII f-chan gimmicky bullshit thing as I've ever seen from a western developer, let alone a major publisher.
Doesn't mean I don't like it, of course. Just sayin'.
-
The 2nd PSP screenshot looks like Nightmare Before Christmas or something.
-
I want to defend the DS saying that so far every game looks worse in screen shots then in action, but those textures look more like the problem to me. I really don't care about the game anyways.

Maybe but they are the best looking graphics you'll get for that game on a handheld.
My point was that DS graphics are more like retarded finger painting when compared to the PSP these days, regardless of the game.

Since he said three words in succession I have to show up, it's kinda like saying Beetlejuice 3 times.

Hey sethsez, thanks for writing! I know it sounds strange, but people don't write me letters as often as you'd think. Don't think I've recieved one since the pre-op days when I was called N64 and all those handicapped kids used to write me asking about wrestling games and Killer Instinct. At least, I think they were handicapped.
Re: The Sims, I am aware of the 2D version - we were actually in the tennis club together when it was an exchange student back in my time as an undergrad at Waseda. Ah, memories of the salad days, before I hit the big time. Anyway, the decision was out of my hands. EA feels that 2D is ancient history, and that market research shows their audience doesn't respond well to "flat graphics". At least that's what they told me in their last conference call after they quit asking me about Killer Instinct. Regards,
