If you are talking about the Dick and Jane thing, well I wasn't really kidding. To me those two books are about the same. It's a story about kids, bland generic stupid kids. I don't look at either and think "lol those stupid <insert skin color here> people." I think "stupid kids." Yes, I realize that some people might be offended because the art really does look like an old art style used to make black people look inferior to white people. Part of me thinks it is shitty for people to remind people that their ancestors went through such things, but another part of me is angered by the fact that we as people have not grown past this kind of thinking. It is a positive form of racism, but it is still racist for people to think in a way that allows them to realize that this might be offensive. Thinking things like, "oh this will offend those blacks" is racist even if you are trying be nice. I hope one day people can look at these retarded books and just see people instead of thinking something racist. I hope one day no one has to worry about being offended, or offending “that group.”
