On Thursday, London was attacked by a series of train and bus bombings to coincide with the start of the G-8 summit in Scotland. I guess muslims don't like people talking about poverty in Africa and global warming. For those interested, the countries represented at the G-8 are the US, Britain, Canada, Japan, Germany, Russia, france... and one I am forgetting... :sweat:

There's no word on who was responsible, atleast no one has taken credit yet. We should probably try and keep the speculation to a minimum and just hope for now that there were few deaths.
EDIT: Okay, a group calling itself "Secret Organization group of al-Qaeda Organization in Europe" has claimed responsibility on a website posting. I don't know how much stock one can put in just that, but I guess it's all we have at the moment.
As if there was any doubt... The only other possibility was the IRA, and they have more class.Quote:

Also, the UK doesn't have nearly as many privacy protection issues as we do, their law enforcement have as much access to the lives of people as ours ever do under the Patriot Act. London itself has cameras on every street, every station, etc.
All this begs the question, can we ever really be safe from this sort of attack?
