Being out in public is a priveledge then, right? You can stay home! And you know what? They have security on boats too! Your argument isn't making sense.

Just like libraries are.Quote:

There is a difference between something being publically owned, and being outside your house. He is using it in a legal way, you are talking about in general.Quote:

eh colleges are iffy. They tend to get at least some funding from the government in some way. They can do what they want, but if the government wants them to do something, they can negotiate rather aggressively.Quote:

Right, but public schools have their libraries open to the public, while private schools may or may not. But the few private schools whose libraries I have been in allowed the general populous to take out books, though I’m not saying this is the norm because I have no idea.Quote:

Hey Andrew, congrats on ignoring the bulk of my post. I'll repeat it again with smaller words.
We're taking care of the terrorism (bad muslims) problem (the thing you do not like, aka murders). It takes time. Shit will happen during the duration (while we are taking care of the problem). However (aka; but) things like miltary operations (army doods blowing up bad muslims) take time to do.
-small words end here-
And yes, the general public ignoring terrorists and their causes DOES make them go away quicker when combined with a focused military attack on the perps and societial change program. We're doing that, but like i said in the mean time shit happens. Terrorism is never about killing people it is about drawing attention to a group or cause. People are the draw for the media attention, otherwise they'd be a bunch of fuckers with an agenda but no power to advance it.
Weather we're actually using the military in a manner that actually stops terrorists from doing shit to us is debatable.
You're right, the sea point was bad, but the point about airlines is made -- they're priveledges. You saying "BEING OUT IN PUBLIC IS A PRIVELEDGE THEN, AMIRITE?!1" isn't counterpointing that. Airlines are owned and operated by corporations, which is why you're checked before heading to the boarding area and not right when you enter the airport (which is government owned, usually).Quote:

They do various checks when you enter now. At least the places I have been to do. But it doesn't matter--there are metal detectors in public schools. Don't try to discount the airport thing, because even if you were able to, it wouldn't change the fact that this is being done in other public places.
As a factory worker in China, I can tell you, driving is a priviledge. One time, we made something that looked like a ladle, but it had holes in its cup and a handle that bent down 90 degrees. The foreman told us that it was a soda-can holder for an automobile. If you are lucky enough to own a car, sit back and enjoy the journey. Save the soda beverage for later
