If you played Burnout 3 like Gran Turismo, you'd be playing it wrong. If you play PN03 like Ratchet & Clank, you're playing it wrong. Simple as that, really.Quote:

Except that Burnout doesn't play anything like Gran Tourismo, so that isn't really possible. Burnout plays like Burnout and that's the only way to conceivably play it, so you either hate it or don't. I'd imagine the same goes for P.N.03.Quote:

I think the point is that Morrowind stands on its own, no matter how you approach it, so I think that simply writing people off who don't like P.N.03 as approaching it wrong is giving the game too much credit when it wasn't able to convince them to keep playing regardless.Quote:

I think most people who dislike PN03 have perfectly valid reasons (bland levels, lack of variety, length is ridiculously padded with the trials, etc.), but there are those who complain because you can't circle strafe or fire while moving. They're missing the point, just like someone who complains that you can't jump in Lode Runner.

What I meant was using techniques like watching your speed, slow in/fast out on corners, and proper timing of brakes won't get you anywhere in Burnout except last place. You could conceivably try to do it, but it would just be as frustrating as expecting to circle strafe in P.N.03.Quote:

I just love it when the gaming sheep run around and spout nonsense. If you guys want to play the same derivative crap and sequels fine, but if you enjoy shmups (particularly, and possibly even if you don't) and want to play a good game, then both P.N.03 and Space Raiders fit the bill more than nicely. Most of the complaints about P.N.03 are about the fact you can't shoot while moving which is an intentional game design element. It's as stupid to complain about that as it is to complain about bosses who have weak points in games you same clowns claim are "classics"
Bottom Line, keep an open mind and don't listen to the sheep. Here are some real reviews of the titles:

PS Capcom did f up the western P.N.03 conversion by making the suits harder to get and pretty much requiring you to go through the lame trial levels. On the JP version I just enjoyed the game and got every suit.
