Yeah, maybe, but I don't really know of anyone whose opinion mattered that would even put it in the same league as RE4. I'm not trying to say its not a good game, but RE4 was a true revolution that completely redefined a genre the series had been up until that point hopelessly stagnating.

I love RE4, but Viewtiful Joe has more depth to the combat, better puzzles, and still maintains a much faster pace than RE4. Not trying to take away from RE4, but that's why I like Viewtiful Joe better.

VJ and RE4 are completely different games. Not much point in compairing their pace and combat and shit.

My comment isn't about weither RE4 is better or worse than VJ

but come on to say VJ wasn't at least a critical success is just silly

every major magazine, every major website, every major gaming review anything agreed VJ was a great game, I could have sworn it was also in a bunch of sites and magazines top 10 games of the year for the year it came out, to say it was a failure critically is just wrong
