Resident Evil 5 - Official

I'd like this story to continue the main story of the series. I really want to get deeper into Umbrella.

Apparently it is a "character who's been kidnapped in the past and never rescued". Yeah, Sherry seems logical (considering Wesker's Report). It sort of make sense if Chris (Claire's brother) is the main character.

You gotta keep ratcheting up the fear factor with each game.

Looks like Chris is stomping out a new deadly HIV strain in Africa instead of the T virus haha.

Kinda weird with all the new RE's getting WAY different settings and locations, but then again it kinda spices things up. The RE:5 location is the most un-dark place possible it seems. Makes me curious what all sort of "creepy" locations they can put him in there.

The director said in a recent interview something along the lines of "this trailer might make you think that the game play is almost identical to RE4, but the next trailer will make you completely forget that notion." So who knows.

Im hoping it strays a bit from the RE4 formula. Its a great game but I've played it to death first on the Gamecube and then the Wii.

I suppose Sherry is a possibility, Claire just makes sense from the perpective that Chris was traveling to Europe to find her (does his plane get diverted?)

I'm guessing Sherry is the companion for this one, with Claire showing up near the end, possibly as a lead in for RE6. Still, best looking game there is so far. The Framework engine is a monster.

Looks great but 2009? That's too far away.

Truth. RE4 felt like more of a sidestory main story wise.
