RPG's/Strategy games w/turn based fighting. I prefer action in my games, not watching stats go up and down. I will make exceptions for FFVII and WoW.

That's a good one, I can't play those anymore. I bought the first two Ratchet & Clanks a while ago for under 5$ each and it's torture just finishing the first one. But like everyone in this thread, that's just my take on things. I'm sure there are a few here who love the series.Quote:

As for games I can't get into: Gran Turismo because it's really fucking boring, Metal Gear Solid because I don't have the patience to sneak around for 12 hours (but I don't mind sneak "sections" in other games). Most RPGs because it's all the same and takes too much time. Schmups are another one. Fun for quick sessions, but I'd never buy one. And Strat RPGs like Ogre Battle, that shit is just way too tedious.
All MMORPGs and most RPGs.
The majority of cookie-cutter 3D platformers.
John Madden Football or other EA Sports titles.
Metal Gear- This stealth business can kiss it. Finish the game without killing any enemies? Ooooo-kay. If I see guards, I'm more in a mood to gun their asses down.
Syphon Filter- The sneak action bits in this one are aggravating. In some of them- being detected means you've ALREADY failed the mission right that instant. An example is the one with Ling Xian trying to escape detention. You're unarmed here. You should be allowed to run for cover in hopes of letting the alert clear. In XIII (a game I can get into), you have a chance to abort an alert by killing the guard who started it- and fallen guards' bodies can be hidden.
Gran Turismo- It is too much of a driving game and not enough of a racing game. Realistic to the point of tedium. Give me an arcade racer instead of a "Car-PG".
I play MGS like it's an action game with stealth elements, it's rare for me to leave a room/clearing/area that has guards without at least 2/3 of them dead. What game are you confusing this with that has you not killing any enemies?Quote:

Splinter Cell is a bit different since they give you so many missions where a single misstep means mission failure, it's not as freeform as MGS in that way (but it's a lot better as an actual stealth game).Quote:
