I find myself playing an awful lot lately (although no cash is involved ... yet), and I can hold my own pretty much. Not tournament worthy, but I can clean up pretty nice at limited tables. Anybody got any tips for me? Anybody got horror stories about going from rags to riches to rags via betting in online poker games?

2 of my friends play online poker a lot, and play the game whenever they get the chance. I don't see the point. They're not good enough to win any good money.
I never understood this sudden explosion of constant card games on TV on many channels, and people playing online. The game has been around forever... why now?

I play quite a bit and over the past year I've not lost money. So far I'm averaging about $250 a month profit (online only, I've made way more in live games but I can't find as many as I'd like). I don't play for a lot though. Most of the time I play at the $5-$30 tournaments. Started at partypoker.com but now I pretty much play exclusively pokerroom.com. Where does everyone else play?
Depending on how many people are into it we should get a weekly TNL game going somewhere. Either for real or play money.
