Dolphin Blue was a Metal Slug-esque game for it I would've loved to play.

Also, you can find Atomiswave units in many Wal Mart Supercenters. The one near me has some light gun game Sammy developed specifically for the US market. It looked okay, definitely on a Dreamcast level, but they hadn't bothered to calibrate the light gun, so there was really no point.

Thats more of a reason...hardly anything was released on it...I can only remember playing 2 titles using the hardware...

One thing about the atomiswave, you HAD to buy the MoBo with every game (the games themselves are just the small carts). I thought they had plans to just sell the games alone and maybe they do now.

Dolphin Blue is supposta be okay. I've never read a single person say it is better than Metal Slug though. I wish someone would get me the credits so I can compare and see if some of the MS team was on board or not.

I'd hate to own an Atomiswave and have to play fighters single player against the computer by default.

CPS2 has a lot of shooters and puzzle games as well. Last games came out in 2001 for the hardware.

Sega and Sammy should probably just use the Naomi considering they are under the same roof now. So should SNKP for that matter. According to System 16, "This is a standard dreamcast type spec, so has less power than the Sega Naomi.". AW has less "main memory" as shown in the spec breakdowns.

Ranger Mission is sort of OK-ish. Actually it's more of a combat simulation rather than a misssion. If you don't meet the quota, you fail the stage and lose a life.

Having to buy a new mobo with every game isn't quite a good thing. There should've been a cart only package for operators wishing to swap titles.
