The best cheese steak Ive eaten was in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is the food capital of the USA, if not the world. You can get virtually anything you want, high quality, if you spend a bit of time looking. And its not even expensive like NYC is.

Pats is fucking great, but I've had a cheesesteak that was just as good, if not better, in Midtown Manhattan @ Carl's. He sampled cheesesteaks all over Philly before he opened his place, and you can tell. It's so fucking good--I get one every time I go to my father's office.Quote:

We should make a TNL "best of food" road trip.
Start in New Haven for Pizza (Sally's, Pepe's or Modern)
NYC for pizza and bagels (Lombardi's for pizza)
Philly for cheese steaks.
In Orlando there's this pizza joint called Pie in The Sky which is a gift given to college kids from the pizza gods. They have a shitload of different pizzas, deliver till 4 am and you get a free 2 liter with each pizza. My favorite there is what they call the "heartstopper" 4 chesses and two different types of pepperoni the pizza is so greasy yet delicious it leaks OUT OF THE BOX. But it tastes like heaven, greasy life-shortening heaven.
