Multiplier is actually based on kills. Every enemy shot per life is counted, and certain checkpoints kick it up to the next multiplier. x10 requires a couple thousand dead enemies to get.

I like this game a lot and probably play it more than any other game I own. I've been stuck at 425,000 for quite sometime unable to reach the 500,000 mark until today, I hit 627,000 while logged on to live. For some reason it will not record my 627,000 score and still shows my previous high. It does show that I unlocked the 500,000 achievment. Does anyone have any logical explanations for this?
are you certain you were logged on XBL? i don't see why it wouldn't register.
I'm positive I was, like I said it registered the 500,000 achievment which I'd never scored before but still shows my high at 425,000 :wtf:.Quote:

You have to be logged into live ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT of the time for the score to register. Your connection may have had a hiccup during the game or something.
I unlocked all the achievements except "survive 1,000,000". My high score is 1 million 400-something thousand. I thought that was good until I saw that the high score is well over 100 million. :(
That's the only thing I can figure what happened, but most of the time it will indicate when I've lost my connection and I'll have to log back on.Quote:
