I agree with you 100% here. Jak 2 is an amazing game, and it gets my vote for the best platforming game on the PS2. As far as challenge goes, I found the game to be perfectly difficult enough to add to the fun factor but it never got frustrating.

If you haven't played Jak 3 yet, I suggest you check it out when you are finished with Jak 2. You will be a little disappointed, because due to all the bitching, Jak 3 lacks any kind of difficulty (think the difference in difficulty between Maximo and Maximo vs. the Army of Zin and you'll get what they did with Jak 3). However, Jak 3 is still fun and worth a look.....even though it has too many of the "dune buggy" levels.

On a side note, I just played a bit of Jak X and I found it to be complete garbage.
