I find it more fun than PGR3...that game has sat on my shelf for months.
Need for Speed is not better than any Ridge Racer.
Yes it is.
1.5 I'd say, and that seems to be as good as sequels for RR goes these days. Still, that new stage with the waterfall is awesome.
I don't know about the NA sales but it sold about as good/bad in japan and still, it's not like it's an exclusive franchise.Quote:
RR6 totally bombed in North America. The audience just isn't there on 360. RR7 didn't set the world on fire, but it sold okay.
In that "We need to sell half a million copies to break even" interview the Namco guy said the great thing about releasing Ridge Racer games is that they can just keeping porting the same game onto different systems and sell them as sequels. That pretty much killed my desire to play RR6.
Coming from you, that is balls on the walls lols
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN THE LAST THREE GENERATIONS? Not playing Nintendo games, I see. But yeah...Namco sucks big time. This is not secret news.
BO:Revenge and PGR3 are tight, but PGR3 runs at half the frame rate of RR6 which just kills that for me, and BO:Revenge is cool, but I prefer cleaner, simpler gameplay and wicked power slides. Revenge is not really a straight up racing and power sliding kind of game. Sometimes I get tired of dodging traffic and fucking with CPU drivers.
RR6 is ok, but it hasn't been able to keep my attention to keep playing yet. Especially when I originally picked up PGR3 and RR6 at the same time.
TDU > BOR > PGR3 > RR6
