The problem is that he is chopping enemies down like he is wielding dual Gatlin guns.. Either he is using a game genie or has some seriouse slow mo going on. I had a rapid fire controller back then and it didnt cut shit down like that.
The spread shot can easily be abused up close, I can see why he was using that the whole time.
Slow Motion via Emulator, a la the SM3 Jump Video.
You could do that in the real game if you got real close to the eye like that with the spread. Most people (including me) would take out the turrets and the sniper guys first.Quote:

Yup, it might have come from here:

If so, no it's not "real". No cheat codes or game genie, but It's tool-assisted. Most of the new ones being made are done with emulator frame advance. Frame-by-frame. That's the only way to get 100% precision.
Tool assisted sucks, Id rather watch a guy almost %100 a game on his own then this cheating crap..

I love the tool assisted videos. Nobody on the planet could come close to this, and nothing in the game is modified. It's basically playing through a game as perfectly as can be.Quote:

Well, I shouldn't say that nothing is modified; in some cases, like the five-minute Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, luck will be modified. Follows the whole idea of getting a perfect playthrough.
It wasn't too quick, that's what happens when you get close w/ spread.Quote:

so if you're close up, as soon as your bullets hit the target, more bullets come out of your gun.. and all this happens extremely fast up close, with ALL the bullets from the spread hitting.
yeah I'm gonna call phony/enhanced on this. Stage 5 got my vote with the guy getting almost inside those bulldozers with the spiked fronts. I can usually get nowhere near those without dying, yet this guy manages to get in there and has it killed within a second.
of course, now I've gotta go try it out for myself...
the part where he takes the first boss out in 4 seconds flat is totally doable btw
This video shows why tool assisted runs are awesome.
My record on NES Contra was 12 complete runs on a single life. Easiest game ever.
You are hardcore.Quote:
