This is just getting retarded. I mean, I know I want to, but who the hell else would actually buy this?

I'd really like to see a major gaming company grind this cock into the dust.
somebody take away this guys bar license please
M is 17+ and AO is 18+. Thompson wants the M changed to an AO. Therefore his argument seems to be that a "full blown sex scene" (such as it is, both parties fully clothed and all) is harmful to a 17 year-old but not to an 18 year-old? Why is this man taken seriously by anyone anywhere? Why hasn't he been completely ostracized by the legal community?
Capcom: "I can't believe it took this asshole to have something on the Gamecube sell well."
I get this really strong feeling from glancing past that article that he has absolutely no clue about the game and has never even seen it, but was merely cruising IGN reviews looking for a new target. How adorable.
He based his entire rant on a quote from Matt Cassamassima's (...) review of the game where he said blabbers on how the game "really earns it's M rating" with violence and a "full blown sex scene".Quote:

Jack Thompson is almost like a real-life equalivent of an internet troll. It's obvious at this point that he couldn't care less about any actual influence in video games and simply doing it for the attention/cash. Have you ever read some of the e-mails he replied to people? It's almost as if he had his own 12-year old son write them for him.

Another interesting article on the situation.

lso providing ammunition for the politicians is Jack Thompson, a Florida-based attorney who is the ambulance chaser of the video game industry. His website, StopKill.com, reveals immediately that its purpose is to seek out those who “know of someone harmed as a result of violent entertainment, including violent video games.” He sounds a lot like those 1-800-LAWYER commercials.
