That really sucks, that was such a short time after telling us about his lung cancer, too. :(
I'm shocked.
WHY GOD WHY!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE DAN RATHER INSTEAD!!!!
Seriously though, this fucking sucks. I ask my boss a few days ago what was up and he told me he was sick or something.
:( sucks
Wow, this was a total shock. R.I.P.
What the fuck...
RIP :(

Regardless, I liked watching him read the news, one of the last of the old breed.
Rest In Peace.
It's truly sad, since this could have been his time. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. I guess it just shows how truly terrible a fight with cancer can be, and that the miracle recoveries are the exception..not the norm.
I remember, when I was a kid, my dad and I used to sit and watch World News Tonight every night at dinner. He'd sit and explain to me all the complicated stuff that I didn't understand. Every time it'd start, I'd see Peter Jennings. It was like he never even took a break. When he got choked up, on 9/11, I remember almost getting that way myself. He was a great reporter, and I know he will be missed.
