They were talking about her again on the news in regards to running for NY. The big talk was about how people might not vote for her becuase they don't want to bother if she is going to leave half way to run for President.
IMO, HC is a worthless commy bitch and I would never vote for her. BUT apparently a whole bunch of people like her and think she should run for the Big Office.
Why do people like her. What does she have going for her?
She got tons of media attention as First Lady. She easily won a Senate seat in New York even though she never lived in New York. She's a tax-and-spend Democrat, but she manages to keep herself away from really dumb/controversial remarks unlike a lot of other tax-and-spend Democrats (like Kennedy or Dean).
So, as of this moment, she's a Democrat with a lot of familiarity in the public eye and has managed to avoid the nasty labels other Democrats have gotten.

One thing that really bothers me about her running for pres is that it really seems like she has been planning for this for one or two decades now. On her way to achieving this goal I cannot think of anything specific that she has done that has really been positive for anyone (these things could be out there, hence the thread).
Not leaving Bill and running for senate in a state she has never lived in both seem like they were done purely to get political power later.
I don't think someone like that would make a good president. It makes her come off as power/glory hungry.

Interesting read, but I think there's more to it than that. Grades don't mean that much, one of my best friends is a brilliant kid but when it comes to school he often doesn't apply himself nearly as much as he can. I still know he's very smart even if he doesn't have the grades to show for it, though.
Barring grades, I think you can just tell that Bush is this redneck guy who got thrust into politics because of his family background. It works for the governor of Texas, but President of the United States? C'mon.
