I've thought about how to say it before, as I have a Canadian friend who says "math":
Maths makes sense, as mathematics has an "s" on, so by shortening it the "s" should remain.
Math also makes sense, as mathematics minus "ematics" = math.
I have no idea which one is actually correct.
What do they say in Australia?

I'm doing decently in school, and hopefully I'll get into the state university that I want to go to (University of Florida). Meanwhile, I'm wrapping up my secondary education now, so all I have left are quite a few IB exams to take over the next year.
