Why are Webcomic Authors So Damn Whiny?

Seriously, it begs to be asked. You pop something on a site and, if you're good, a company throws you a few bucks from ads or merch or something. Some update often, some don't. Others choose to write three-page long rants about how they're "burnt out creatively" or "nobody loves me" or something in lieu of doing comics. I mean, MegaTokyo is an obvious example, another, more recent one being RPG World, which was a clever mock on the saturated genre.
See, this is why I should read Real Life more often. Greg Dean just outright says, "yeah, I didn't do a comic today. Shut up." if he can't get one done. No drama.
Seriously, though, why the whining?

I think the answer is obvious. It is all your fault.

Fucking whiners

I've been following RPG World for awhile now. The writings been on the wall for that one for more than a few months now. Hopefully he'll finish it.

On a side note, this thread introduced me to Real Life, which I'm liking a lot.

The amount of whiney is directly proportional to the lack of funny.

I don't think my comics are whiny either. They're mostly just awesome.
