All the first party exclusive sequels MS have released have not gotten better praise than the previous one. Thier first party studios have not gotten better with time.
KOTOR is neither first party nor exclusive. But your point is well taken.
Yes.Quote:

Well, my point was that people will still wait to get stuff cheaper. I think we're just not quite on the same page, so I'm not trying to argue. I will be an "early adopter" this time for the first time since Sega CD, but I will buy one, maybe 2 games, and then buy nothing until I can get games cheap. This is, of course, unless I get some single player game I beat and then want to sell, in which case I will put that money from that game towards a new one, but I will not be "stocking up" like I do with my current systems.Quote:

I put the blame for how boring games are lately squarely on companies like MS and Sony that drag in casual non-gamers and aim to take over your house. The 16 bit era was fought out by two game companies and it ended up being the greatest period in gaming history, Sony and MS fighting it out feels like shopping for an mp3 player, something cool in concept but soulless and you miss the good old days of checking out the record store. I miss systems bundled with Mario and Sonic games, headsets and hard drives aren't the same.
I think we can all agree that Nintendo's a whole lot more important to this generation than any of us thought they'd be back when 360 looked awesome, the DS sucked, PSP had a chance to be a contender, and PS3 could process polygons faster than God. Now everyone's playing Nintendogs or Advance Wars DS or Meteos or Kirby CC (and if they aren't they should be) and waiting for hope from Revolution or some miracle PS3 announcement.
Games today are better than ever, they really are, Id play Half-Life 2, Rome Total War, SMB Deluxe, Project Gotham 2, Jet Grind Radio, etc. over 16-bit stuff any day of the week, of course you're too busy playing junk like Alien vs. Predator on Jaguar so what do you know.Quote:

I didnt even bother with KOTOR 2 because it was a rehash. As for Halo 2... eh its not really a rehash. Multiplayer and all. If you never played it on Xbox Live you are missing out on the game's main draw, and its a draw the first didnt have.Quote:

Halo 2 doesn't even qualify as a rehash, it's just an extension of the first game.
The crazy people can't LOLZers!!!.Quote:

And yet you call Mario Tennis and Mario Golf, two games which are at best texture packs for the N64 iterations, must-have titles.Quote:
