i want to uninstall FF completely and re-install it again. when i come to installing FF again on my PC, i see that it left the settings, bookmarks, extensions....and so on. i did not create a profile so that cant be it.
I tried uninstalling it, then removing the Mozilla firefox folder in my program files but that didnt help. why is it such a bitch to uninstall Firefox permanently? :wtf:
What? You don't even have to install Firefox in the first place (you can just run it out of whatever directory you choose) so I don't understand how you cannot uninstall it.
It's probably saving your prefs somewhere else, maybe in your documents and settings folder (very likely), or maybe in the registry (not likely).

IIRC, there's also an installer, but yeah, all you need to do is remove your profile + Firefox folders. Worked fine for me when my mom wanted IE back.Quote:

here is my problem, it's a small yet annoying problem that only occurs when i send emails and post on message board. whenever i press the "compose email", "reply" buttons on emails and messageboard, the browser hung and progress bar at the button doesnt move, hitting reply agian wont help, so i have to hit stop on firefox then execute the commend again(compose email or reply), sometimes it works, and sometimes i have to do it a 3rd time.
i tried IE, Opera and Avant and none of them have this problem, which leads me to think Firefox is the reason.
so now when i try to unstall FF from add/remove it doesnt remove it completely, because when i re-install it i still have the same options, extensions, boomarks, settings...etc. I will try to uninstall it, then remove the mozilla or FF folder from my "program files" directory, and hopefully that would fix the problem.
now that i deleted my profile, i will see if it happens again.
