KenMasters313 rocked me in that final match. It was funny when I got off that Yamazaki leader special though. Fun games.
I wish there was a better way to set up tournaments, but at least I finally figured out what Registration Delay does.
When you set up a tournament, there is a registration deadline as well. Unfortunately, you can't set the time of the deadline. It is dependant on when you create the tournament and how long you set the Registration Delay option.
For example, let's say you wanted to create a 9 PM tournament on Sunday. The earliest you can set the registration delay is one hour, so you'll have to create the tournament before 8 PM the same day, because the game doesn't allow you to create a tournament before the registration delay.
Now, if you created the tournament at say, 7:30 PM, with a registration delay of 1 hour, then the registration delay is set for 8:30 PM. If you created the tournament at 7:53 PM, then the registration deadline is 8:53 PM. That's why my tournaments kept getting cancelled. I set the Registraton Delay for one hour when the tournament was several hours away (i.e. tournament starts at 9:00 PM on Sunday, but the registration deadline was 10:45 PM Saturday, since I created the tournament on 9:45 PM Saturday).
Essentially, if you want to create a tournament where the registration deadline is close to the tournament start time, you'll have to create the tournament about a few minutes before the start of the new hour. I'm not sure if this is really the case -- I'm only guessing because I can't see the registration deadline of my own created tournaments, since it displays that I'm already registered. If it's true though, then it's really retarded.
After the end of our last tournament, I wanted to play another one right away, but the game doesn't give you an option to set up instant tournaments (due to the stupid registration delay option). I think for our next tournament, we have to set up several tournaments that take place at the same time. We register for all those tournaments and participate in one. When one tournament ends, we jump on the next available tournament and keep going until we run out. This will only work if
a) the game doesn't cancel the tournament if the participants aren't there right away, which would work best if we set the match length to one hour
b) the game allows you to register for more than one tournament that starts at the same time.
If that doesn't work, then the only option is to create tournaments in consecutive hours (ex. 9:00 PM, then another at 10:00 PM).
I really hope they fix this for KOF: Neowave (it's probably too late for SamSho 5 and KOF 94 Rebout). I wish that they allow you to create a tournament at any time, make the registration delay optional (meaning you can register up to a minute before the tournament starts), and incorporate the KOF 2002 lobby and allow you to start a tournament with anyone who is in the lobby (makes for easy impromptu tournaments). An option to create a 2-out-of-3 or 3-out-of-5 rule who have also been good.
Lol, yeah. I was like, "SUMBITCH I KEEP JUMPING BACK INTO THE DAMN THING!" (it happens everytime someone does his LDM).Quote:

Oh and gg's to Vasteel last night. It was fun playing you.
I'm going to set up another tournament on Sunday night at 9 PM EST. I'll try to get several going so that we can immediately start another tournament after one finishes (and we don't have to wait an hour to play another one).
So who's up for a small tournament at 9 and 10 PM EST tonight?
I am! Can you set me up with a 9 invite?
Sorry about the no-show, folks. Alejandra got hungry - had to feed her. :)
Fighter -- don't see ya online, hit me on AIM so we can coordinate a match or so perhaps before you log off.
Damn -- you should add me on AIM, I keep forgetting to keep up to date with this thread (and I've gone and missed the event).Quote:
