WTF? I thought someone like you wouldn't be so dumb since you think you know all. The 5 bucks you put down goes to the game period. There is no intrest fee or anything like that. IF the game is 45 buck you just payed 5 bucks on the game period.

There is no way that any given game is going to be out of stock that quickly, that's why I don't pre-order.

Besides I bought if off the developers website for 45.99 even. No tax and free shipping. I can very easily prove they are not charging me "interest" for it.

I didn't have a problem getting it.

Last time I preordered a big title, it didn't mean anything anyway. The only reason I got a copy of the Halo 2 LE is because a friend of mine was working that EB that night. I picked it up the next day as opposed to midnight, and if he didn't put it aside for me, I would have had to wait for the next shipment.

Not having enough units to sell to walk-ins is annoying enough as it is, but to then lack enough units to cover all of the store's preorders? Yeah, fuck that.

Jesus Christ are some people dense. You're paying opportunity cost because GameStop can earn interest on your money, but you can't. It's not money out of your wallet, but it is money you could have earned. Take a fucking economics class, you yard ape. If you are 20 years old and don't understand this, you need to switch fucking colleges. Your current one is failing you... unless you are in some bullshit liberal arts major, in which case you're beyond help anyway.

No your missing the point. I put 5 bucks down because I wanted to be sure that my copy will be saved and thats was like two years ago. For the game F.E.A.R I payed in full free of shipping and tax so I think I SAVED SOME FUCKING MONEY. You need to get a clue.

Your mother got a clue. You lost interest that could be recieved if you kept that money in the bank.

Assuming that tax is more than the interest you would have earned had you not given them the money this early, you are right. When Best Buy, Circuit City, or CompUSA has the game on sale for $40 the week it's released, you will have lost money again though. It doesn't make any sense to shop at GameStop or EB for mainstream titles.

God, you're making my head hurt with all that shit. Thank goodness we have you to make our decisions for us.
