Oooh... Pictures! Which one you get? The famicom version's coming for me sometime next week.
Burnout Revenge XBOX.

Also got e-reader Baseball and Dk. Jr. 2 more and I'll have the whole NES Classics set.
187 Ride or Die (Xbox) arrived for review today. I pray this ends up being decent.
I got a friggin' sweet deal on Burnout Revenge. Went by Fry's after work (it was on sale for $38 there), but they never got the Xbox version in. So I went to Best Buy and got a price match, *plus* a free $10 gift card (which they probably shouldn't have done in conjunction with a price match). So basically I got it for $28 in the end. :D
Also picked up Ultimates 2 vol. 1.
Killer 7 GC
Inu Yasha: Swords of an honorable Ruler
Genshiken volume 1 with the artbox.
X| ooh! I want that! The manga rocks. Last anime title i bought was volume one of Planetes. My anime budget is non-existant until next month.Quote:

This game is not. WTF. 75% of the games I've played in I was randomly booted out of for no apparent reason, the upgrading your character thing is a really flawed concept, and it plays like a run and gun fps now. The levels are way too big too.
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg
I had no idea what kind of game this was, and I'm pleasantly surprsied by its quality. The destructive environments are awesome . I got it in a 2 for $50 deal with:
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg
...Which I'm yet to play. I got it because A) It was dirt cheap and B) after all the MGS4 talk I felt like playing a MGS title, and realised I didn't own any (though I've played through the other 2).
Don't worry, I've had my copy for months and I haven't even opened it yet. I'm sure it's worth the wait.Quote:

Sorry it took me so long to notice this post, I don't check these boards that often. RE: SLOWDIVE, I haven't seen Mysterious skin, but they did an ENTIRE original soundtrack for the movie "I am the elephant U are the mouse" in 1994, which was never officially released. You can find tracks from it at www.mojave3online.com as well as some live stuff and demos and other stuff there.Quote:

Sound quality isn't that great and there's some digital pops/clicks now and then but it's not too bad after awhile. :)

But with one kickass game and one.. bah I didn't care for Mushihime at all.
Because I have to say this on this forum, "I am not trying to start something", but what was it about Mushi that through you off? I'm not quite sure yet, but I'm pretty positive i like it more than ESPGaluda.Quote:

I guess I'll stick with Gradius V.
Anyway, spoils from the Best Buy clearance: Shaman King and FF1&2 for GBA. Don't feel like replaying FF1 quite yet, but Shaman King is a lot better than I was expecting. That's not to say it's a great game, which it's not, it just doesn't deserve all the shitting on it got when people discovered it wasn't Castlevania.
I don't mind dodging all the projectiles......I do hate, however, in games like Mars Matrix or Giga Wing 2, when there are simply too many bonus/score items coming at you. At many times, you've got more bonus items coming at you than there are bullets, and it gets really confusing. You have to decide what to dodge and what to collect.

DDP & Mushihime are nowhere near as bad as Giga Wing 2 when it comes to collecting medallions/dollars and stars or whatever, but there is a fair amount. Daioujou has always been one of my, if not the, favorite manic shooter out there , and Mushihime probably isn't as great as DDP, but I still enjoy it. Both worth trying out.Quote:

I felt that the slowdown was too choppy and there's something about the hit area that makes me feel like I get off more on luck than skill somehow. The port felt a bit meh and I wasn't that big fan of the scoring system either. Lovely tunes and atmosphere though.Quote:

The past week has been had some morphix-style acquistions (volume, not shitty anime), partly because of my birthday this past Sunday:
311 - Don't Tread of Me
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (DVD)
Mr. Nanny (gag gift from my gf) (DVD)
Ninja Gaiden Black (Xbox)
We Love Katamari (PS2)
Advance Wars (DS)
Space Invaders Collection (DS)
Pac N Roll (DS)
Nintendogs Dachshaund (DS)
Tiger Woods (DS)
Spiderman 2 (DS)
Also got a Marvin from Hitchhiker's bobblehead, an Arthur Dent action figure, 2 Hitchhiker's shotglasses, a new wallet, the Complete Far Side collection (the monstrous hardbound 2 volume set), a treasure box, cool boxers, and a Napoleon Dynamite t-shirt.
Also got the Pelicon System Selector Pro, the version with the remote. Excellent piece of hardware. Also got the Xbox component cables and an extra Nintendo svideo cable to round out the wires. Still need a new Saturn svideo cable, the GC component cable, 1 normal svideo cable for the 3D0, a wireless ethernet bridge, and 3 cat5 cables. Also will need a second normal svideo cable once I get my Genesis 1 modded for it.
The gaming setup for the gameroom will have everything covered.
Shit. Was a clown there, too?Quote:

Dancing on DDR, looks retarded. Dancing on Pump looks less retarded due to step patterns and a layout made for actual dancing.
DDR has a user friendly interface. Pump it up is flat out retarded.
You gotta give and take. I choose one over the other depending on my moods. If I feel like jumping around, I play Pump. If I just want to smash arrows, I play DDR.
Thanks, I am happy to oblige:Quote:

I like the music. Its absurd.
There is a word in Korean that sounds like "nigga" and it sure does get said an awful lot in this game.
Well, the songs that I do like in Pump (And I'd have to look again at the English names for them) I LOVE. . but about half of it I'm just like. . blah.
Still, Pump's crap is easily more tolerable than In The Grooves.
kingoffighters, good god. That dog is giving me a toothache. I have to imagine it getting ripped apart by a Hawk to get the overload of cutness out of my brain.
Napoleon needs to stop being so cute.
Oh wait, just give it a week. He'll be an ugly beast like the rest of them.
It's so true, and I still chuckle.Quote:

NES, SNES, Genesis, Gameboy, and Game Gear. Everything but NES was mostly sealed, the rest were complete with everything. NES was all complete, but they all had the plastic on it with it cut at the top. All HQ stuff. Minty boxes, minty carts, minty manuals.
We picked up for $125:
30 complete NES games (all of which I needed the boxes, and the remaining carts are hitting eBay)
5 sealed Genesis games
20 sealed Game Gear games (the woman took all of these)
15 sealed Gameboy games
2 sealed SNES games
Would have bought more, but I need to pay my rent this month. :)
Highlights include a boxed Contra Force (NES), loose Dragon Warrior II, Wacky Worlds Studio (Gen) sealed, and Streets of Rage III complete. Those and a few others (not including the loose NES games) should make back all my the money spent no problem. I gave a sealed Zelda DX to my woman, which she's going to toss on eBay to cover what she spent on the GG games.
I have to go back to this woman and get more. I missed 3 NES boxes I need. At $2 a game (this was less because it was such in bulk), I can't turn it down.
Just picked up this stuff within the last 2 weeks:
Burnout Revenge X-Box
Doom 3 CE X-Box
Ninja Gaiden Black X-Box (traded my original NG for it) :)
Michael Jackson: Number One Hits (Music Videos) DVD
I got this a while back and was pissed off it didn't have the moonwalker version of Smooth Criminal.Quote:
