Aw, don't hate, Diff. There's room for you both. ECM may have been bitter and twisted (you guys have that in common), but he got paid for it, knew how to write and back up his opinions, and -- get this -- he actually played the games he insulted (imagine that!).

He also has the worst taste in games ever. No matter how shitty a game was, if it was obscure, fruity, and Japanese, it was awesome. If it was popular in America, it sucked.

I like to think I was the 1 in that 21,321.

Stage 4-1 is eating me alive. I'm playing original mode and pretty much everything so far has been though but fair. 4-1 is different, those big dinosaur birds are ruthless and enemies constantly get inside walls and platforms only to multiply and push you into some lava. I went as far as to backtrack to another stage for some homing weapons but it's still hard.

How do you break those magic seals btw and whats the deal with the witch?

My game finally arrived yesterday from Play Asia, took two weeks to get here.

My initial impressions after maybe 90 minutes of play.

The graphics are amazing, almost too good if that makes any sense, as in to colorful with so much going on, it's almost, but not quite a distraction, but a great looking game.

The music doesn't disappoint either, there's a familiar GnG remixed theme playing right from the start in stage 1-1.

It's not as hard as I thought it would be after all I've read about the immense difficulty. I got to an end boss and killed him my first or second man. I'm sure it gets much more difficult the further you get into it, but I haven't been stuck yet in any place for to long, and I believe I'm on stage 3 something.

The armor system is different than the GnG we're all used to, you can take a few hits if you're powered up, and the game pace and play is far more hectic then prior games in the series.

Overall I'm rather impressed, and looking forward to playing the rest of the game.

Don't get back into the whole GameGO argument. Please.
