Is it on the net yet? The local papers here haven't carried any C&H recently and I've been reading the hell out of the books as of late, so if I see a couple I should be able to tell if it's new.
I certainly hope Watterson started up again, that would be awesome. Even if it wasn't C&H I'd like to see what else he would do for a strip.

Looks like no. From Wikipedia:Quote:
Books with a "Yes" in the "Collection?" column comprise all of the regular strips that appeared in newspapers. The column shows which books are needed to form a complete collection of the newspaper strips. Alternately, a complete collection, in three hardcover volumes of a total 1440 pages, is planned for release on October 4, 2005 by Andrews McMeel Publishing. The collection is already available for pre-order on many online bookstores (ISBN 0740748475).
To celebrate the release, Calvin and Hobbes reruns will be available to newspapers from Sunday, September 4, 2005 through Saturday, December 31, 2005, and Bill Watterson will answer questions submitted by readers.
I need to write Watterson a letter, then. New or not, it's fantastic to see it back in the paper.
You'd think you would hear something on the news about this? Any confirmations?
They're just reruns. I'm all about that collection though, we mentioned it in a thread sometime in the beginning of the year. Can't believe it's almost out now.
Awww.
But yeah, even though I have all the separate volumes, I don't think I can pass up a C&H complete collection.
I think its going to be like 100 bucks when it comes out
I got rid of the seperate books in preporation for The Great Book of C & H.
$150 retail price but it can be found for cheaper.Quote:

For the curious, here it on amazon. Sweet deal really.

What is it with hardcore Christians and C&H? Everywhere I go I see Calvin either pissing on a Doctor (anti-abortion), or under a giant cross (perhaps he's really a Roman Centurian about to cruxify some enemy of the Empire?). Also, the local CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ) uses C&H for their flyers.
Wow...I need this.Quote:

I just wanna know why he pisses on Jeff Gordon so much.Quote:

They don't even have the rights to do that. Waterson never licensed C&H out for anything. Wish he would make them stop that shit.Quote:

Email a copy to Watterson and watch the hilarity ensue. ;)Quote:

I've been a fan of C & H for years. It's been a while since I've glanced through any of the books. I may have to pick up the collection soon.
I dont think its back man - anyone got confirmation on that? I'm thinking some paper just decided to do reruns... this is how crappy rumours get started. =\Quote:

I seriously doubt Bill Watterson would be dumb enough to do something like that, though.
The collection comes out this Tuesday, it's pretty cheap at Amazon, but shipping isn't free. According to the information the things is 22 pounds (!), wonder how much shipping will be.
My local bookstore has their display copy out. Soooo nice. Never thought something like this would come out.
Seriously, this book is beautiful, I can't wait to get my copy. Here are some detail pictures of the book:Quote:

Oh hell yeah! You'd have to be an asshole to not pick it up at that price.Quote:
