Wait, one of those schemes actually worked for you? What did you have to do?Quote:

I cancelled on the 6th night by phone, and when all the referral offers were completed, I gave Gratis my shipping address, and I had my iPod shuffle pretty shortly at no cost to myself.Quote:

Well, like I said, I'm not sure the MP3 file format can handle chapter stops. There are podcasts that are in AAC format instead of MP3, but a lot of the ones I've found are stuff that is targeted directly at Mac fans.Quote:

I don't mean to bump this thread up again, but I just found out that the nano is actually going to replace the iPod mini indefinitely. This is a very gutsy move considering the iPod mini was literally the best selling Apple product ever, and was still the #1 selling product on the Apple store while the nano was announced. Crazy.
Edit: Also, I just checked and found out the nano is the #1 selling product already, replacing the mini.
So you don't have to use it, you just are to organize your files?Quote:

Oh yea, Windows Explorer sucks hard and iTunes automatically organizes your music, collates it, keeps the structure of your music folder intact, and sends star ratings and other pieces of info into the iPod.
I dont see how anyone would want to use Explorer to drag and drop to a music player, ever, especially when we're talking about thousands of files.
Crazy indeed.Quote:

Its not a gutsy move at all, Nano is just the 2nd gen Mini, just like the iPods we have now are 4th gen. Releasing the Mini in the first place was far gutsier.
I just bought a mini for 179 and now this shazz comes out! Nano is hands down the coolest technology design this year, esp the black version. It makes the mini obselete, cept that varying colors which I am sure are coming for Christmas...

I dunno, I just thought it was weird that they literally destroy a whole line of iPods (the most successful line of iPods, at that) for a smaller, longer lasting and ultimately "better" version of the original. Even though this sounds like the logical thing to do, given the circumstances, that hasn't stopped consumers from purchasing the mini over the original. I'm saying this because I know the mini was wildly successful, but we all know that for $50 more you could have purchased four times as much space and also get the ability to view photos and album artwork.Quote:

*shrugs* If anything, I would assume they would have had them compete for the rest of the market share, as it is most certain the nano is going to be *probably* as successful as the mini.
