The L Word

Anyone watched this? It's a lesbian drama. A very well-written one at that. I stayed up all night last night watching the second season. Viewed all of season one the two nights before. I think it debuted on the channel Showtime.

The characters are, for the most part, extremely hot. Like Mia Kirshner--playing Jenny. You might remember her as the incestial sister in Not Another Teen Movie. She looks extremely delicate and frail here, and the character she plays is very interesting, slowly coming to terms that she is a lesbian.

And then there's Katherine Moennig, playing Shane. Wow. Although she's more butch than any male I've ever met, her character is extremely deep, and something about her is incredibly sexy. Great performance.



Hmmm. Yeah. So, all the characters rock. The story is captivating. etc etc etc etc. Watch it...even if you're not a lesbian like me.

I'm snagged a bit. What is the show about? I mean, I know it's a Lesbian Drama, because you mentioned that, but what kind of plot does it have?

It's like a Soap Opera with lesbians....I guess. Sex and the City with lesbians? And a lot more drama. It's really hard to categorize it since it has such a broad range.

It's just a drama-queen of a series with lesbians fucking. Or such.

As this show combines a lot of the things I love in life, I've no idea why I haven't seen it yet. It is out on DVD, right? I should really get around to seeing it.

The first two seasons are on dvd. Well, the second one is either out, or is coming very soon. The third season, as far as I know, is still being filmed.

Unlike the tacky Queer as Folk, the writing in this series is extremely tight, and the characters are believable (for the most part). It deals with touchy subjects without being in-your-face about "OMFG SHE'S A LESBIAN RESPECT HER!!!11." Some parts are extremely fucked up, but in a fun way. There's really no way to describe it.

The first episode is a little bit slow, but it grows on you/becomes fast and fun by the second episode.

It's very quality.

I was really tired!! All i know is that "Jenny" in the show is Moviephone.com girl where shes like "I bet yapanese have a candy-bar liek that!" I TOLD YOU SO MANY TIMES BUT YOU WERE LIKE *IGNORE*

It's fun to watch, but eh...I dunno. It just bothered me I guess. Every second there was some sort of retarded gay joke or stereotype. L Word suffers from that very little in comparison. And some of the characters in QAF (Justin...) annoyed the fuck out of me.
