All I can say is that if you told me that the Eagles would already be out of it and the Jets and GB would each be 2-10 at the start of the season, I would've told you that you're on crack.

Madden wasn't bashing the Seattle defense, he was echoing Holmgreen's comments about not being certain of whether or not this defense was truly good. Later on he was still uncertain of whether or not this was a great Seattle team or just a truly awful crumbling Philly team - and I'm not sure either, no one can honestly say "Yeah Seattle ass fucked the Eagles"... honestly it looked like the Eagles leaped up on the bed and spread their buttocks open themselves (terrible analogy I know, apologies).Quote:

I'm actually enjoying the ambiguity of the NFC right now because most everything in the AFC looks like a done deal - EXCEPT for the 2nd place seed - Denver needs to dust themselves off and hope for a Bengals collapse because I have a feeling that if they Broncos let that KC loss get to them, they'll be division championing it in a wild card round - not good for them.
Shocking as it sounds...all the warning signs were in place before the season on these.Quote:

GB has be slowly decomposing for years...Favre has just been holding them together.
And the Jets? I saw them play the Giants in preseason, with a bunch of Giants fans who were excited about the Jets for my sake this year. But I saw an offense that couldn't pass and couldn't block, which is also an offense that can't run or score. Pennington was wrong before he got reinjured, and quite frankly, I don't think any QB would have done a good enough job behind our front five. Perhaps the Jets could have made the playoffs (and go one-and-done) if they didn't get killed with injuries, but only because the AFC East is a steaming pile. But this team had issues going into preseason.
GO TEXANS!
I predict GreenBay winning out now. Why? Because they are going to fuck away any chance at a #1 or #2 draft pick. Most frustrating season ever!
hey houston has the right for that number one pick dammit! we've blown our last two games in the final 30 seconds - i think that speaks volumes about our dedication for reggie bush in 2006!

2 wins this year puts them in underdog status, so a turnaround is all we can look forward to.Quote:

I'm curious to see how the Giants/Eagles game plays out this week - I can't believe the Eagles would roll over like they did last week, and Eli has been playing like crap the last couple of weeks. He almost has this attitude like he's got better things to do than play the first three quarters and if the other team gets close then fine, he'll just up and beat them. But accuracy isn't something you can just turn on & off.
After what he pulled during the draft did you expect him to be anything but a primadona prick?
I went 11-5 last week. I would've done way better if I didn't make some upset picks to make up the previous week I missed the 2 pick'em leagues I play, and so whatever picks I make I use and post on the sites I vists regularly (this also caused me to drop low in another money league which if I hadn't picked the stupid upset picks I picked I would be in first now). Here are my picks for this week:
Chicago at Pittsburgh
Cleveland at Cincinnati
Houston at Tennessee
Indianapolis at Jacksonville

Oakland at NY Jets
St. Louis at Minnesota
Tampa Bay at Carolina
NY Giants at Philadelphia
San Francisco at Seattle
