Finally, for those who haven't heard, Fansproject (one of the Asian aftermarket accessory outfits, who made the well-regarded but very limited and thus very expensive Classics Cliffjumper upgrade set) has something truly special coming up: a trailer for Classics Ultra Magnus which converts into his old-school body armor (plus a BFG). The trailer looks nothing like the G1 version, but the armor does a great job of translating his G1 look into the Classics aesthetic. The production run will thankfully be much larger than that for the Cliffjumper set, and BBTS is taking preorders for 77 bucks.
They've also just revealed a few smaller accessories they've got in the pipeline: for Alternators Prime, a new engine that turns into the Matrix of Leadership and a gas can that turns into a rifle, and for the Classics line, a Matrix with jointed handles (so it can be held in several positions by Prime or Rodimus) and an accessory-scale version of Classics Megatron's gun mode, available in both US and Japanese color schemes. (Sorry I couldn't attach these, they're embedded in media players.)

Ran across Grimlock at Target. Bit the bullet and bought Grimlock, Lugnut, and Bulkhead before I can't find them anymore. I was going to get Megatron, but the ones in-store had lame paint jobs.
That surprised me tonight as well when I took it out of the package. It's the simplest transformation since the G1 mini bots. I don't think that makes it a waste of money, however.Quote:

Animated Deluxe wave 3 came in at the local Wal-mart last night. Skipped Jazz since he had nasty paint problems (on both figures in the case no less... guess that's to be expected with a primarily white figure), picked up the rest.

I skipped Prime for now, and picked up Voyager Megatron yesterday. Robot mode is awesome, but the alt mode looks strange and unappealing. Love the color scheme tho.

that takes me back. Me and college buddy used to go to every Wal-Mart in Savannah at midnight, looking for new Transformers. Airport Wal-mart, southside Wal-mart, and the secret Wal-mart, we even had a route that would loop them all together. We found two Unicrons at the secret Wal-mart and were so excited, no one had one before we did. Armada, those were the days. Back in the days of $1.50 gas running all over town was fun.

Are there Voyager class figures of Bumblebee, Soundwave, and Snarl planned? I grabbed the Deluxe version of Soundwave and Snarl tonight, but I could have sworn they'd make Voyager class figures.

Saw a bunch of the new wave at a WM yesterday. Jazz, Soundwave, and big $40 versions of Optimus and Megatron. Quite a few Grimlocks and Snarls as well.
Also new "Transformer Universe" versions of Prowl and Sunstreaker.
There's a new triple changer out, too, for TFUni. Tempting.
The Armada Unicron is being rereleased as well. I think I read it will be a TRU exclusive.
Good thing I already bought it a few years back.
TRU exclusive, possibly redecoed to be more accurate to the '86 movie.

Yeah, they actually started out as Play Skool Star Wars, then when they caught on with collectors (for some reason I'll never understand), Hasbro decided to drop the Play Skool label and branch the concept out into other licenses. Yeah, I saw them shits when I picked up my new Classics. Awesome figures, but TOO big for me right now. VERY good value for the money. I almost took them both home, but I'm just going to wait for Ultra Magnus to come out.
